Water Tasting Workshop and Debate: What is the healthiest and most sustainable way to drink water?
Come join a water tasting session and discover why tap water is the most sustainable and healthiest option—and how, with a small daily decision, we can help reduce environmental impact and improve personal well-being.
This activity is part of the 2025 Healthy Week organized by UPC.
Program:
- What are we doing at UPC? Technical team from UPC Sostenible.
- What is the water we drink like? Water tasting: visual, olfactory, and taste evaluation. Led by Professor Bea Escribano, UNESCO Chair of Sustainability and Water Observatory of Terrassa.
- Why is tap water safe and healthy? Water network quality control system in Terrassa, led by Eva Tusell, Head of the Water Quality Control Area of TAigua - Municipal Water of Terrassa.
Activity Description:
This is a hands-on activity, where you’ll get to taste different types of water while learning about the impacts and benefits of each option.
During the workshop, we’ll evaluate and compare the organoleptic properties of four different water samples: tap, spring, treated, and bottled water. Finally, we’ll reflect on how each of these sources has a significant social, environmental, and economic impact.
Organized by: UPC Sostenible and the Water Observatory of Terrassa
In collaboration with: TAigua Chair and UTG of the Terrassa Campus
